The Vermont Service Center currently receives and processes all I-129F Petitions filed by U.S. Citizens residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts,Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

As of July 1st, 2008, the current processing time (from receipt to approval of petition--not visa issuance**) is approximately 60-138 days*.

*Please note that the above timeline is based upon actual client approvals from the past 6 months and tend to be more accurate than processing times found on the U.S.C.I.S website. While it is unusual, some cases may be approved prior to the shortest times we have listed above.
